Marble is a porous material, so it is easy to stain, use less water when cleaning, regularly wipe with a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent, then dry and polish with a clean soft cloth. Badly worn marble furniture is difficult to handle, and is then polished with an electric sander to restore its luster. Or wipe carefully with a liquid scrub, use lemon juice or vinegar to clean the stain, but the lemon should not stay on it for more than 1-2 minutes, repeat the operation if necessary, then wash and dry. For minor scratches, special marble cleaners and conditioners can be used. For old or valuable marble and stainless steel furniture, professionals should be asked to deal with it. Painted marble furniture must be treated with paint stripper, which should be carried out according to the product instructions, and several layers may be required. Once all the paint has been removed, it is rubbed with steel wool and polished with a power sander. For cosmetics, tea and tobacco stains, apply hydrogen peroxide containing a few ounces of ammonia, leave on for two hours, then wash and dry. For oil stains, wipe with ethanol (alcohol), acetone (wood essence) or lighter oil, then wash and dry. If the marble stainless steel furniture is stained by alcohol and coffee, or burnt by cigarette butts, you should consider asking someone to repair it.
